Mass Transfer
Local and Overall Mass transfer co-efficients, Sparged Vessels- Determination of gas bubble diameter, gas hold up and Interfacial Area Gas Absorption: Choice of solvent for absorption, Minimum Liquid- Gas ratio for Absorbers, HETP in continuous contact equipments. Distillation: Enthalpy concentration diagrams, Use of Ponchon Savarit method in the design of multistage tray towers and packed towers. Liquid Extraction: Choice of solvent for extraction, Binodal solubility curves, Calculations for single stage and multi stage cross & countercurrent extraction, Differential Extractors. Heat Transfer
